 Theory - Types of adverts:

Sound & Film:

Diegetic sound - Diegetic sound is any sound that comes naturally from the world of the video. Basically, if you were a character in a film, any of the noises you could hear in that scene would be classed as diegetic.

Non-diegetic sound - Sometimes called commentary or non-literal sound, non-diegetic sound is any type of sound that does not specifically exist within the world of the film itself. In other words, it's the type of sound that characters in a film are not able to hear, but that we can.

Voice over - Voice over is when we hear someone speaking in the background of a movie, show, or radio program. It's usually a person's voice that helps explain what's happening or tells us more about what we're watching. They're not seen on screen but their voice helps us understand the story.

Soundtrack - A soundtrack is the music and sounds used in movies, TV shows, games, and other media to make them more enjoyable and set the mood for different scenes.

Dialogue - Dialogue is a conversation between people. It's used in writing and in real life for talking, sharing information, and expressing thoughts and feelings.

Examples of foley sounds - Breaking bones, creaking floors, footsteps, and fire crackling. It adds realism to storytelling, created by skilled artists using objects and actions synchronized with what's happening on screen.

Radio Advert Planning:

Target Audience:
My radio ad will be targeted at people who dislike the taste of water, work out, or love juice. This is a perfect target audience because my product contains options to be able to squeeze out different types of fruit flavoring and also provides the water you need for your body.

Ideas:
- rhetorical questions to ask in the beginning: "Are you tired of drinking plain old water?"

- Direct language to make the listener feel like they're being spoken to personally.

Aim:
The aim of this radio ad is to attract as many listeners and hopefully grow our product.

Radio Advert:
This is a radio advertisement for my product - the Fruit Burst water bottle. I made a script which I followed. The script also included the music being used in the advert. I used Adobe Audition to create this masterpiece and Adobe Premier Pro to make it into a video. I researched different types of background music to use. There were some problems I had to overcome when it came to getting the music from YouTube. What went well with this is that the script was perfect and it had some background music. What could've made it better if I had some sound effects to make it more intriguing.
